Anton Grassl

“To be successful, a photographer must have confidence in one’s personal vision, the courage to make critical decisions, and the wisdom to listen to others.”

Anton Grassl’s background in art and his dedication to fine craftsmanship are the foundation for his unique and lively images of architecture. With precision and style, he creates photographs that describe the visual, spatial and tactile elements of the design. Based in Boston, Grassl works on assignments worldwide.

Anton was born in Munich. He studied stage design and photography in Germany and received an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. He was the recipient of a RISD Fellowship in 1983, Massachusetts Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in 1991, a National Endowment grant in 1992 and Graham Foundation Fellowship in 1995.
